Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
ASI brought its acrylic and glass fabrication, habitat waterproofing, and underwater viewing expertise to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s Aquatics building — a wing added in 1985 when the Cleveland Aquarium closed and donated its entire fish and invertebrate collection to the zoo. The 35 saltwater and freshwater exhibits that opened in 1986 range from small tanks up to a 19,000-gallon showcase, housing species like Australian lungfish, giant Pacific octopus, electric eels, and live coral.
As with every ASI project, the goal was a seamless, crystal-clear viewing experience built to last.
