Xcaret

Installation of the first phase of acrylic at Xcaret was completed in July of 2006. The new tank features multiple types of marine life for the public to view.

In 2013, Xcaret called on American Sealants Inc. to repair and refurbish the aquarium tanks. The team brought the exhibit back to a scratch-free, distortion-free, like-new finish.

That tank is part of Xcaret’s Coral Reef Aquarium, home to more than 5,000 marine organisms across zones that recreate a mangrove nursery, a coral lagoon, and reef habitats at multiple depths — most of the coral on display comes from Xcaret’s own reef rescue and breeding programs rather than wild collection. Its seawater is drawn by gravity from pipes roughly 300 meters offshore, requiring no pumps to keep the exhibit fed with fresh water and the plankton that comes with it.

As with every ASI project, the goal was a seamless, crystal-clear result built to last — the same standard the company brings to its work with SeaWorld, Disney, and over 100 zoos and aquariums worldwide.
